Michael Tran, DPT

Michael Tran is a first-generation Asian American, born and raised in Houston, Texas, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas before obtaining his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from CU Anschutz. He is currently furthering his clinical expertise through the University of Colorado Sports Medicine and Performance Center Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency, where he collaborates with expert clinicians and board-certified specialists to refine his skills in orthopedic rehabilitation.
Michael is passionate about helping individuals regain function, optimize movement, and return to the activities they love. With aspirations of becoming a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), he is dedicated to life-long learning, mentorship, and advancing the profession of physical therapy. His clinical philosophy emphasizes individualized care that empowers patients to achieve their personal and performance goals.
Growing up Michael participated in a variety of team sports, from basketball to lacrosse, and now is an avid rock climber, snowboarder and fly fisher. Participation in these activities and his diverse background helped shape his commitment to providing tailored care for all individuals. He believes that patient care should be specific to the individual and of high-quality no matter the circumstance.
